Ep. 2 - How I learned to hold boundaries
On today’s episode, I’m bringing on my therapist – Chantal Wade. I started working with Chantal in 2016 and she is the reason I am able to set and hold such strong boundaries to this day!
The holidays are stressful for everyone, no matter the reason. Whether it is dysfunctional family dynamics, traveling, additional responsibilities and, one of the most important, setting and keeping boundaries – yours or those around you.
Chantal introduces a 5-step process, on the spot, that will help you show up for yourself and, hopefully, feel and be confident in your decisions.
Step 1: Get to know what your needs are
Step 2: Learn to know what your triggers are
Step 3: Self-esteem building and using powerful mantras
Step 4: Set the boundary. Stand up and show up for yourself
Step 5: Have and show compassion, especially self-compassion
